CLAY CIRCLE GATHERINGS
Schedule your Clay Circle Gathering, A minimum number of 4 participants is needed for the clay circle*. Get on a list today by filling out the contact form at the bottom.
The Clay Circle Gathering is about a 2 1/2 to 3 hour long experience, and a deeply meditative and bonding experience. Unlike my other workshops; Intuitive Painting, we will not be using paint or brushes. It is completely unique to Eye Walker Studios (best I know, and I have checked).
We work with air drying clay and you can take a section of the circle home with you if you like. When dry, you can paint and embellish your creation it as you like.
Clay is one of the most ancient and sacred mediums used in ritual and art making. Clay is made of elements so basic that when it breaks down, after years of being left to the elements, it is hard to separate it from the surrounding soil.
When you think about it, we are made up of many of the same minerals you can find in the soil outside your door, and in a potter’s clay. So working a piece of clay provides a naturally grounding experience.
The materials become supple and warm as we work them, and the minerals nourish our skin making it soft, while manipulating the clay has a deep massaging effect on the muscles of our hands and arms. The experience of the clay yielding and holding a form that you impress upon it is truly empowering and exciting.
You will be allowing your intuitive process to form something that is literally “out of the box” and 3-D.
This is such a wonderful bonding experience for groups: family members, co-workers, close friends, new friends; the list just goes on and on.
It’s a tactile meditative experience. You+3 ( the clay needs a minimum of 4 to form a circle*) others will sit around a table joined together by a circle of clay. After a brief introduction to the process, and silently, with only meditative background tones, you will mold, shape, manipulate, and experience the clay.
Being an expressive art, it is never about the end result, while you may come out with a gorgeous piece of art that you want to display in your home, that is not the goal. Because you will be working in kind of a meditative state you will be creating from the experience of being in your own presence with the clay
Well it is a lot of work, and you’re able to take lots of short breaks. I even provide beverages and fresh fruit to recharge with.
What you make remains to be seen, and is only for you to discover.

So, what’s the bottom line? What’s the price?
Well, this is where I need you;
The clay circle needs a minimum of 4 people*, committed to being here, so because life can happen, have a back-up ready for that last minute opening in the circle.
When you book a class for 4* , the cost is much less:
$120.00 (4 people)* (that’s $30/per person), and $30/each additional person.
When you book individually,
you are placed on a list and wait for a full circle minimum of 4* on the list
$45.00 (that’s $45/per person)
*********************Did you notice all those beautiful asterixs?
I cannot emphasis this enough!!!!!!! A GROUP OF 4 (MINIMUM) IS
NEEDED FOR THE CIRCLE. So, be prepared for the unexpected, as a matter of fact, it
might be safer to expect!!!!!! your bestie to cancel last minute.
BOOK FOR 5 people (to be safe), and I will refund for (1 persons
cancellation) and that will still insure you have a group of 4.
*So, what is THE POLICY if there is a cancellation last minute? Well, like many service providers out there I REQUIRE A FULL 24HOURS NOTICE, and I will work with you to reschedule, but you only get one reschedule. To hold your clay circle I transformed my studio, moved furniture and prepared the space. The transformation is part of the service, but it is a effort that I lovingly provide, so that I can facilitate your circle. Please respect this policy. I will provide a copy of it in every email you receive about your clay circle. I do not want to have to charge you for a clay circle that has not been held.
