Painted in 2021, after a road trip to Arizona through Joshua Tree; I was struck by the beauty of the jagged volcanic rocks, the unforgiving terrain, and the of the smooth velvety grey granite rocks. the acid yellow sky when the sun approaches twilight and shines through California wildfire ravaged horizons.
